The Internet in our lives
Nowadays the Internet is an everyday tool for most people. Should schools use the Internet as a way of motivating students?.
Make a change
Technology has been introduced in our daily life, and it would be important if schools make a step forward and use it as a way of motivating and getting in touch with students' interests.
Ways of motivating
There are many ways to involve students in the use of this tool. Some examples are:
Creating a blog: students can suggest ideas, ask questions, share information, debate.
Creating an e-mail account or groups as a way of solving doubts or sharing information.
Participating in forums: they can learn to have their own critical point of view in different subjects.
Disadvantages in the use of the Internet
On the other hand students should learn how to study with books. Sometimes the Internet can be a fast track to find information but not a good quality one. the Internet can have many distractions and they need to read and analyze more.
Conclusion
Not only should schools use the Internet to motivate students by providing guidelines on the proper use of it, but also ought to encourage students to read more. It must be an effort made by both parts; schools need to learn and take advantage of these tools and students have to use it in a good way.
